In Home Intervention Program

IHIP's Goal
The goal of Southern Maryland Community Network's In Home Intervention Program is to reduce institutional placements or reunify families following an out of home placement.

IHIP provides the following:
  • In home services for children, adolescents and their families which will strengthen family functioning
     
  • Intervene during crisis/emergency situations and teach coping skills
     
  • Provide linkages to benefits and services that will empower the consumer and their family
In home intensive services include:
  • Evaluation and assessment
     
  • Youth and family directed Individualized Service Planning (ISP)
     
  • Counseling, crisis intervention and stabilization
     
  • Skills training (preventative maintenance), and
     
  • Services coordination and monitoring
