Family Coordination Center of Calvert County

Our Mission:
The Family Coordination center of Calvert County works in partnership with families, children, and professionals to identify strengths, needs, and appropriate resources. We provide community-based services which include: information, referrals, needs assessment, family support and advocacy.

Our Vision
All Calvert County children and their families will have a clear path to the family –centered, strengths-based supports they need to thrive in our community.

Program Goals

• To link families with community programs and natural supports
   
• To support parents and caregivers as partners
   
• To fully utilize Calvert County resources
   
• To facilitate early access to service
   
• To ensure continuity of care across programs
   
• To reduce the number of children and families involved with the Juvenile Justice or Child Welfare Systems
   
• To enhance the overall quality of family life in Calvert County.
   

Who May Participate? If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, our program can help you! Are you confused about how to get services needed by your family?   Do you think that your child may be using drugs or alcohol?   Are you unsure what activities are available in our community?   Are you worried that your child is depressed?   Are you concerned that your child’s behavior is likely to lead to involvement with the legal system?   Is your child’s behavior becoming unmanageable?   Is your child failing in school?

Family Resource Coordinators help children and their families identify strengths, needs, and appropriate resources. Confidential services provided are based on the needs of each child and family. The Family Coordination Center provides:

• Single point of access for services
   
• Information about and referrals to services
   
• Formal and informal assessments
   
• Linkage with both traditional and non-traditional services
   
• Advocacy on behalf of children and families
   
• Ongoing coordination and support for child and family
   
• Individual services and supports wrapped around child and family needs
